The man ought to be dead (given how much time he spent splattering himself all over asphalt when I was a kid). He's an old guy now. He's lucky to have that scooter . . . and his life.
True. And as such a cantankerous cat, the image was still a bit mind-blowing for me. As such a larger-than-life character when I was a kid, Evel had a hold on my friends and me. Like him or not, the guy is an icon of 70's showmanship. It's a cliché, but time does indeed wait for no man.

Yeah, well Evel has broken every bone in his body. He was tough like Ali. We still had heros in the 70s.
