In the SUPER Geeky Post last week I was surprised that nobody mentioned Dora as one of their favorites. Dora in his heyday is definitely one of my favorites. Love him or hate him, he had style.
Yeah, I guess that's the limitation of a goofy question on a surf blog. The question automatically assumes that the list contains people we'll all know and recognize. It doesn't seem condusive to the no-namers. Still, I like that we have a collective history and culture. And though it's different for different people, a nod to that isn't such a bad thing.
Or maybe I was just looking for an excuse to post some images I like.
Speaking of style, I saw this guy catch *the* wave of the day at Scripps this morning. It was overhead, had a beutifully hollow curl expansing out to a nice, curvy down the line shoulder. The beutiful yellow jumbo fish he was finessing down the line caught my attention. I thought to myself "wait a second, I've seen that board before... ha! That's JB!"
In anycase, nice wave man! I had a few that were similar in vein but the peak I was surfing was further south than where you were at so you really had a long ride on that. Killer.
There were some fun ones today! I was actually going to surf south a bit, but I had been out with a couple of friends. There actually ended up being a few nice corners. How about that brown foam today?

My fav surfers are mostly no namers, the ones I see on a regular basis.

Thanks for the good word.
JB, based on EHO's endorsement, I'll place you on my top ten.
