The Old Ludwigs
Sold these a few years back to get the custom Paul Bleifuss kit I'll have 'til I die. This was a mid-60's era Ludwig in the ubiquitous blue oyster pearl finish. It was a really fun kit, and I used it as my go-to for nearly 10 years. Nice warm tone, and I found it in great condition. Just a shot I found while rummaging around. Thought I'd post it since there are a few drum/music heads out there too.

Very nice JB.
I'm thinkin' yer gonna regret it.
Years ago, on an impulse, I sold my
60's Camco 3-D finish mint kit(with factory plastic heads) to buy
a newer kit.
I'm very sad now.

I actually don't regret it. That's the thing; the kit I got made is like the best of both worlds. 20, 12, 14 with matching snare in champagne sparkle. Keller shells and very clean edges give it a really warm tone, super versatile. It actually has the vibe of that older sound and will only get better with time.
The Ludwig was great, and if it was black oyster pearl with matching snare? Never would have sold it. My kit didn't have the matching snare. If it did, I wouldn't have sold it. I did like the supraphonic snare though.
Now, that Camco sounds like a rarity! I can see why you'd be bummed about that.
